Dandruff is a common condition for many of us. It can be annoying and difficult to treat. I have struggled with dandruff since middle school. Not only was it uncomfortable, but it was also very embarrassing for me. I HAD to wash my hair everyday, otherwise it looked like I had lice on my scalp. I tried Head & Shoulders, Pert, and every other prescription shampoo and they all worked, but only for a short amount of time and then it would be the same thing all over again.
Through my transition to cruelty free products, I found an organic brand called Maple Holistics. They sell hair care, personal care, skin care, bath and body products, and much more. I went on Amazon and saw nothing but good reviews on their items. I decided to try out their Tea Tree Shampoo. This is what it claims to do:
“Promotes healthy hair growth, helps prevent flaking and dandruff, capable of soothing an irritated scalp, leaves hair and scalp rejuvenated and fresh….”
The ingredients listed are: Aqua, jojoba oil, botanical keratin, argan oil, tea tree oil, lavender oil, and rosemary oil.
At first use, it was easy for it to lather up, but my hair felt so dry and I started to freak. I thought about following with a conditioner, but I wanted the full effect of the shampoo and decided not to. To my surprise, once my hair dried it was very soft and there were hardly any tangles. My hair smelled really good and NO DANDRUFF! Dandruff was really my only concern so I can’t vouch for the other things it claims to do. The bottle is 8 oz, but honestly a little goes a long way! This shampoo was definitely a success for me and I can’t wait to try their other products.
I purchased mine on Amazon Here for $10.95, but I later found that you can get a FREE FULL SIZE sample on their website Here. If you’re still skeptical, then I would totally recommend getting the free sample.
Until next time,
Abby ♡
What was the point of living before jojoba oil? Amirite?
