My winter morning skincare routine

Hello everyone! I’m so sorry it has been so long, but I am finally back! Today I’m bringing you guys my “winter” morning skincare routine (I put it in quotes because let’s face it, is winter even considered winter in California? haha). I have oily acne prone skin, but during the winter I have combination skin, where only my T-zone is oily.

I recently switched to Korean skincare products, but everything is available to purchase on Amazon so I will provide links!

I start every morning off with cleansing my face using my Clarisonic Mia 1. Honestly, if you still don’t have this, I highly recommend you putting it on your wishlist this Christmas! My favorite cleanser is the Cosrx Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser. I usually have a problem with cleanser breaking me out, but this one definitely helps keep my acne at bay. This leaves my skin soft and plump and I think it’s a perfect cleanser to use year round.

Next up I tone my face with Dickinson’s Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner. I rarely use toner, but I heard so many good things about it that I decided to give it a try. I purchased this about a week ago and I am honestly surprised with how well my skin has responded to it. I will say, the smell is a bit unpleasant, almost like alcohol, but it doesn’t dry out my skin. I’m going to continue using this even after winter is over.

This next item is also a recent purchase, it is Seoul Ceuticals Vitamin C Day Glow Serum. This product smells so good and so far I haven’t had any breakouts! It gets absorbed into my skin so easily and leaves it ridiculously soft. It shows results fast and it has brightened my skin and even lightened my acne scars. It is a bit pricey for it’s size, but trust me, it works.

Finally, the time has come for my moisturizer and sunscreen! My holy grail moisturizer is the Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion. This is another product that has never broken my skin out, which is why it’s my favorite. It’s perfect for those with combination and oily skin, since it’s oil-free. Although, it is winter, we can’t forget about sunscreen. My go to is the Missha All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk SPF 50+. This the the only sunscreen that doesn’t leave that terrible white cast on my face. As many of us know, sunscreen is vital, if you don’t want hyper-pigmentation from acne scars so I never leave the house without any.

This skincare might be long for some, but it is what keeps my skin sane during these cold, dry months. Thanks so much for reading loves and let me know what you’re favorite skincare products are below!
