How the Grinch Stole Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie so when my boyfriend told me we’d be going, I was ecstatic! We had not gone to Universal Studios together in 2 years, before all the Harry Potter craze, so I was looking forward to what else had changed.
***I hate to disappoint, but I actually don’t like Harry Potter, so unfortunately, I didn’t really take any pictures of that. 😅
We tried going as soon as they opened so luckily the crowds hadn’t gotten there. The first thing that caught our eye was being able to meet Max from the movie! We also learned that there were about 5 different dogs who played Max and they were all rescues so that made us really happy.
And look at the size of this tree!
By the way, am I the only one who never knows what to do with their hands in a photo? Haha. The line was surprisingly long to meet the Grinch so we decided to hit up the studio tour to get the day started. The studio tour is definitely a must and I love seeing the reactions of people who have never been on it!
We then hit up our favorite part of the park, Springfield! The detail they put into that part of the park always makes me feel like I’m actually a part of it. The ride itself is a simulator, but it’s super fun and one of my favorite rides.
We ate at Krusty Burger and I had their Mother Nature burger since it is vegan and it was really good. We were so hungry and devoured our food quickly so I didn’t take pictures. As soon as we finished eating we decided to check out the newly added Walking Dead maze (not a good idea). We befriended this family and went through the maze with them and they made it even more fun. Neither of us are big horror fans so we were practically peeing ourselves haha. It was such a fun experience and who knows maybe next time we’ll try Halloween Horror Nights.
Finally came the time to meet the Grinch and I was excited, but also nervous. I always get nervous meeting characters and I’m not sure why. This Grinch acted exactly like Jim Carrey and it was like a dream come true.
The tree lighting was also such a cool thing to see. They had Who acapella group perform different Christmas songs and they had another group of Who’s led by Martha May. I was too into the performances to take a good photo of the tree, but you can see it in the background of this picture.
To end the night we decided to go to Moe’s Tavern in Springfield to get a beer and let me tell you, it was overpriced. We rarely go to Universal though so I guess it was an exception.
Grinchmas is definitely something I’d recommend going to and it was so much fun. The best part is my boyfriend got us season passes so we’ll get to go more often.
Until next time,
Abby XOXO
I want to go to the Harry Potter world so bad! I am such a potterhead!
