The best money saving apps

In todays post, I wanted to share with you all two of my favorite apps that I use on a daily basis to help me save money! The best part is both these apps are available for Apple and Androids, so no one is left out.

The first app is called Penny.

Penny breaks your spending down by different categories, gives you advice on how to manage your spending, and even allows you to set up your own goals. The app does require you to link your bank account, but it is completely safe and it even lets you link other accounts such as PayPal. Penny also sends you notifications when you spend, which I think is really neat. I was honestly skeptical at first, since you’re basically talking to a computer about your finances, but this app has been a life saver. I have the worst spending habits on food so my goal is geared towards spending less on food. You can ask for updates on your goal and how much you’ve spent that month. I took some screenshots of requesting an update on my goal, how much I’ve spent in January, and the categories your spending is broken down into below.

The second app is called Shopkick. This app gives you gift cards worth up to $50 from popular stores like, Sephora, Target, Amazon, Nike, and many more, for simply just entering a store and scanning items! How it works is by collecting “kicks”, you can earn these by walking into certain stores, scanning items from a certain list given to you, and purchasing certain items as well.

Depending on the gift card that you choose and the amount you choose, gives you a number of kicks you need to earn. I’ve set mine to a $10 Sephora gift card and this is my progress so far;

By the way, if you ever change your mind on the gift card you chose, you can easily change it! Your kicks never expire and it’s super easy to do. I’ve gotten $10 gift cards to JcPenney and Best Buy and I’ve never had a problem using them.

These 2 apps are my favorite and they’ve helped me so much. I hope you all look into these and give them a try. If you do, please tell me how you like them, or if you already use these apps, tell me about your experience!

Thank you for reading and until next time! Here’s my social media links if you want to keep updated with me,

    Hi Abby,
    I have not heard of these apps even though I often blog about how to save money and make money. Thank you.
    I met you at Naya’s Meet and Greet. Maybe you can check out my blog if you need any blogging tips. That’s what I write about. I also have blog parties like Naya.
